Robart Robart Pinchless Walking Horse Bit - 5 $50.6 Robart PRECISION Bits have patented internal springs that allows the port to return to a neutral position quickly upon dropping the rein, giving immediate reward for correct behavior. Great for shoulder control and keeping a lower head set. Why a Pinchless Bit? A horse is a flight and fight animal. If the bit is hurting the horses mouth he is going to respond with fight or flight. Neither of these responses are condusive to training, competing or riding. Take the pain away and you instantly modify their behavior and response to your instructions. The Pinchless bit swivels at the bars, rather than relying on the center link to swivel, eliminating the possibility of pinching the tongue. Also it gives a more consistant and immediate signal to your horse, so his response time is reduced, with less pressure. If a horse is not new to the bit and is still gapping his mouth, excessive mouth movement or tossing his head, you will want to try a pinchless bit. Using a pinchless bit on a young horse will prevent inflicting pain, keeping the experience less streeful, resulting in easier and improved learning for the horse. Great for walking and all gaited horses. Tongue is not trapped! Smooth ball action allows horse to swallow and relax his face. More gait control.Size: 5 |

Gentle Stream $13.57 The second full album by the Amazing finds the onetime side project settling further into its own existence, as the Swedish band embraces a wide temporal range of sonic touchstones revolving around the idea of lush delicacy. The title track starts the album with a sweet glaze of acoustic and electric guitars that sounds like the kind of '90s bands that loved the Cocteau Twins a little more in their later phase. It's a bit shoegaze but never heavily so, keyboards adding a bit of extra bliss and zone while the drums act as a bit of a secret punch. The singing seeps sweetly through like a bit of Richard Ashcroft goes a-ha -- and definitely not as dramatic as the former, in this case thankfully. With that, Gentle Stream feels like its title, a series of songs that are carefully arranged and performed but feel in listening like a meander down the titular object. It's a breezy, sometimes melancholy, but never dour listen, as songs like "International Hair" and "When the Colours Change" show, while without ever going full-on hero rock, a song like "Gone" fires up in context just enough. The nice sax part on "Flashlight" adds some moody grooves to the gently swinging number -- there's definitely a bit of Nick Drake at work throughout in the vocals and overall feeling, which starts coming to the fore more as the album continues -- while "Dogs" feels more like a stately classic rock number in its descending verses, at least a bit. The album as a whole clearly values the arrangements and overall instrumental performances perhaps even more than the singing, with numerous extended codas and breaks where the performers stretch out to the full. ~ Ned Raggett, Rovi |

How To Groom A Horse
Grooming a horse needs various grooming tools. Know what to keep in your horse grooming kit and learn about cleaning a horse using the correct grooming equipment as well as other handy horse grooming tips.
To have a clean horse, there are some essentials you will need in your grooming kit. Theses are the basic items and some grooming tips for horses and ponies
The horse grooming brushes you may need when you are grooming horses are the dandy brush, body brush and water brush. Keep reading for tips on how to groom horses with each horse brush.
There are two types of combs you can use when you are grooming ponies and horses, the curry comb and the mane and tail comb.
You will also need two sponges and some other accessories in horse grooming kits. Keep reading for the essential horse grooming equipment and to find out how to groom a horse.
A hoof pick – this is essential part of grooming your horse to make sure there are not rock, stones or other objects caught in your horse or pony's hooves
A dandy brush – a heavy duty brush to get all that mud off your horse or pony's muddy coat. This horse brush is great in the winter, but be careful if you brush a horse with this one and they are a bit ticklish!
A body brush – a softer brush to take off all the dust and scurf from your horse or pony's coat. You can also use the body brush to gently brush their mane and tail. The best way how to brush a horse, is in the direction of the way the hair is laying.
A rubber curry comb – you can use this on your horse or pony to help get that long haired coat off them in Spring time. When you are cleaning a pony or horse, use it in a circular motion
A metal curry comb – be careful not to use this one directly on you pony or horse. It is for cleaning the body brush only! Just rub the two across each other and watch out that you don't end up with all the removed dirt all over you!
A mane and tail comb – be careful when using the mane and tail comb that you don't pull out or break too many of your horse or pony's hairs. They take a long time to grow you know. Use your fingers first to gently separate bits of the mane and tail and then use the comb sparingly. Use the body brush the most on manes and tails.
A water brush – another heavy duty brush that you can use this to damp down your horse or pony's mane and tail when you have finished brushing them with the body brush. So that the mane lies flat and the top of the tail stays in place. Don't use your water brush as your dandy brush or it will all get mighty muddy!
Two sponges – use one to gently wash the eyes of your horse or pony and their muzzle. Use the other sponge for the other end – the dock (under their tail). It can be useful to have two sponges of different colours or different shapes so that you know which one goes where!
Bot knife – can be useful to remove bot eggs from your horse or pony's legs. It is not easy to get them off any other way.
Hoof oil and brush – you can put on some hoof oil. Some people like it, some people don't.
A plastic bucket, or a container with a lid is also a good idea to include in grooming kits for horses. In fact it is a better idea if you keep your horses grooming kit clean and organised and keep it inside the bucket or container.
