buckskin quarter horses

I just started leasing a horse, but I have a few questions.?
I just started leasing a horse three days ago, and I love him already. lol. Anyway, when we are riding, well, there are a few things that he has trouble on.
1. He can't walk/trot etc. in a straight line. He's always moving and swerving.
2. When I ask for a lope (western) he just does a faster, bumpier jog. Like an extended trot or something.
3. When I'm riding with someone else, it's hard for me to control him. He always wants to follow the other horse.
4. Sometimes on the trail he breaks into a jog to get in front of the horse in front of me.
5. On the trail, he is always reaching for leaves.
Is there anything I can do to help him, or stop him from doing these things?
Or, do you think I may be doing something wrong?
(By the way, he is a 23 year old Buckskin Quarter Horse Gelding, if you need that info.)
Oh, and if you need to know, he is 14.2hh.
Thanks in advance.
1. keep him against the rail and keep your reigns short. also keep your leg on him
2. i dont ride western, sorry. but i know for cantering, you sit deep, squeeze with your inside leg, and keep the inside leg forward, outside back.
3. do partly the same as in number one turn him around in the opposite direction or make him lead.
4. sit back and say whoa or hoe, or however u say it.
5. pull his head up so he doesnt do that. a horse i rode did that and i pulled his head up and squeezd to keep him focused on the trail
im not an expert but i hope that helps :]

french horse breed
french horse breed
my horses sire is Jumron a the end of his name it says (GB)?
does that mean german breed? http://www.pedigreequery.com/jumrunner and does the (FR) mean french?
Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
Well, not THAT long ago, back about 25-30 years ago, when a Thoroughbred that was foaled in a country other than the United States or Canada was imported to the United States, the status of the horse as a non-North American-bred was noted by putting an asterisk in front of the horse's name: e.g., *Mahmoud, *Princequillo, *Nasrullah. That's how the name appeared in pedigrees, and that's how it appeared in publications relating to racing and breeding.
Further, if the imported horse had a name that had already been used for a registered Thoroughbred here in North America, a roman numeral would be added after the name: e.g., *Cougar II, *Blenheim II, *Noholme II, *Sir Gallahad III (all real horses, btw).
About twenty-twenty five years ago, The Jockey Club had a committee that got together with their counterparts in several other countries to try to make the name/country of origin thing easier for everyone involved. The impetus was not, as you may think, a desire to simplify and clarify things; no, it was because at that time, when computer databases were in their infancy, the programs that were being used to build the database had trouble with the asterisk (*) character. So something had to be done.
The decision was made to do away with the asterisk as a designator for imported horses, and to instead use a parentheses-enclosed two-letter or three-letter upper case designator for the horse's country of origin: e.g., instead of *Mahmoud, it would be Mahmoud (IRE), Princequillo (GB), etc. It was also decided at the same time to drop the Roman numeral indicating a horse had previously borne that name.
So when you see a Thoroughbred with a name that is followed by a two-letter or three-letter identifier in parenthesis, you know the horse was imported to the US from another country, and the identifier tells where it is from.

Are the Olympics games anti-feminist?
I believe with the exception of the equestrian, all Olympic sports are separated by sex.
How anti-feminist is that? It's not like they separate sports based on race or religion.
Is it because men would get upset if a strong, independent woman beat them at an event?
Why don't more feminists sign up for the Olympics and compete against men?
Are the women who compete in the Olympics traitors to the feminist ideal of complete equality?
That would simply be unfair -- to women.
Though there are some women who are stronger/more agile than some men, in general, when it comes to sports, men and women do not belong in the same playing field (except, for instance, say, chess). Men in general would trounce women in such physically demanding sports.
